In this ever-shrinking world it seems that everyone has a place where they can express their thoughts, opinions, dreams, desires, and more. I thought, "What the hell, I'm more interesting that most of these people, so why not stake out my claim to a little corner of cyberspace?!?"

This site is the result of that idea. Come on in, kick your shoes off, grab a cup of coffee and waste a small portion of your life checking me out!

My Hobbies

I have varied interests, actually. I LOVE motorcycles, and have done some short bike trips. Motorcycling is great stress relief.....it's tough to worry about your problems when you're concentrating on not becoming roadkill! :-)

I also am REALLY into computers. I have built websites for some companies in my home area, as well as the original website for our local Chapter of the GWRRA (GoldWing Road Riders Association). A few years ago I went so far as to build a computer for myself from spare parts that were laying around.

In addition I'm an avid sportsman. I enjoy fishing, though haven't had much time to indulge in recent years. I'm also very fond of the shooting sports. Although I have yet to participate, the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting looks to me like it could be a LOT of fun!! And yes, I am ECSTATIC that the Supreme Court "got it right" in their ruling on the 2nd Ammendment in the "Heller vs DC" ruling earlier this year!!

I'm very interested in politics, and am an unabashed, unashamed, unapologetic conservative.

Other Stuff

On October 29, 2006 a drunk driver murdered my sister and brother-in-law just outside of a little northwest Iowa town. That incident robbed 7 wonderful people of parents, 12 children of their grandparents, and, as of this writing, 3 more children of grandparents they will never have the opportunity to meet. A daughter was robbed of the opportunity to have her father walk her down the aisle at her wedding. And a brother was left just a tad bitter. In short, everyone who loved this wonderful couple was left devastated in the wake of their deaths.

Please, please, PLEASE if you drink let somebody else drive. And if you have a friend or loved one who has had too much to drink, PLEASE take their keys and give them a ride home. NO family should have to go through what our family has gone through. It's terribly senseless, and SO easy to prevent!!

For those of you who may have been victimized by a drunk driver, or are a relative of someone who has, you are not alone. We are a fraternity that I wish didn't exist.
